Social work plays an important role in our society. It can be a rewarding profession, helping to repair relationships and look after vulnerable people. It can also be a difficult and demanding job. That’s why Hampshire County Council is delighted to sponsor these awards to highlight some of the fantastic work undertaken by social workers across the country.

We have been closely associated with the Awards through our sponsorship for some years, and this year are delighted to be continuing that association by sponsoring the ‘Creative and Innovative Social Work Practice’ category.

This exciting new category will enable those in the profession to showcase alternative ideas and solutions for improving the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities, and that creativity, flair and innovation feature widely in the social care arena.

Hampshire County Council is proud of its reputation for real commitment to social care, for innovation and for working in positive ways with stakeholders. We are committed to excellence, and to recognising the vital contribution both adult social care and children’s social care practitioners make to society so that those who need care are valued, supported with compassion, and helped to live as independent a life as possible.

We hope these awards will continue to inspire and encourage new entrants to join our profession and support colleagues already working in this vital area to excel even more than they already do.
